please remove this if you don't care about it

hi, the day xzewd froze everyone's sun is hopefully over. i moved back
to motif 1.1 on suns, which should remove the problem (which was a bug
in 1.2), but one never knows. i'm sorry for any problems this caused
you (having to reboot lots of machines, etc.)...

for the future, if a similar situation occurs and (like today) I'm not
logged in, please feel free to alter the scripts in the potluck locker
to print a warning message and (optionally) exit. the scripts which
run xzewd are in
	/mit/potluck/`machtype`bin/xzewd
admittedly, anyone can change them now (potluck *is* world writable)
but i figured you might like the permission. and please let me know if
such a step is necessary

please don't change them to say anything like
Gosh, why are you running such a dumb memory hog Motif application?

:)

or, of course, you could ignore the whole thing. it's a free thingie!

love,
ed
