This happened because someone, who should consider himself flamed,
accidentally installed a version of Pnews in the sipb locker that runs
the RT versions of filexp and getactive regardless of platform.
I am trying to install fixed scripts, and hope to do it tonight, but I'm
waiting for one of our news administrators to obtain the nntp source so
that these rn-associated scripts can be configured.
Yes, this means that we currently do not have the sources that we would
need to build rn. This should give you an idea of the level of support
we are providing for rn; namely, little to none.
I am not happy with the situation, but I am not responsible for the
program. Nevertheless, I am sorry if any serious problems were caused
by this. (I, myself, had to reboot my machine because of excessive
processes forked off by the bad Pnews when I tested it.)
I will inform you when the problem is fixed.
