whenever i format a document with "times" font and preview it in xdvi,
it crashes, failing to find character 177. this is the en-dash (typed
"--"). could this be added to cmr10? here are the errors:
Can't find font ptmrc; using cmr10 instead at 360 dpi
Can't find font ptmri; using cmr10 instead at 360 dpi
Can't find font ptmb; using cmr10 instead at 360 dpi
Can't find font ptmb; using cmr10 instead at 510 dpi
Can't find font ptmr; using cmr10 instead at 240 dpi
Can't find font ptmr; using cmr10 instead at 360 dpi
xdvi: Character 177 not defined in font cmr10
