I wanted to read NetNews, so I used the same process I use every time to read
it. After I added sipb and then entered xrn, I was given the message
'An xrn of yours is running on w20-575-65 as process 2186.
If it is no longer running, remove the file "/afs/athena.mit.edu/user/a/t/atariman/.xrnlock"."
This is somewhat strange because I am on w20-575-19. When I tried to remove
the file, it told me that "Remove only works from the same shaell in which
you typed setup." I went to w20-575-65, and xrn is not running. What do I
have to do to regain ability to read xrn? Do I have to tell the guy on
w20-575-65 to type in that remove thing? Please help. Thanks
