There's a Niklaus Wirth quote that came up on the fortune instance
this morning which is too truncated to be as funny as the original.
The problem is that I don't know the original in full. It's something
like this:

Niklaus Wirth, commenting on a common difficulty with his name:
"You can either call me by name, which is nik-louse VEERT,
or by value, which is Nickles Worth."

If I'm not terribly mistaken, a better form of this quote is in a
footnote to the "call by name/call by value" section in either the
6.001 text or the 6.034 text. Or at least they were in the
mid-Eighties.
