We backed them out because we didn't have enough information on what
would break in terms of user's TeX files - we are lacking sources to
some of the 300dpi fonts we had, some of which were used to do weird
things. Our plan is to supply a locker supporting 600dpi TeX fonts,
and hopefully phase it into the next release. We just didn't have time
to cope this time around.

These are essentially the same changes (modulo the fact we're running
an older version of xdvi) that I made to xdvi and backed out
(/source/third/common/tex/xdvi/RCS) - except that I set the density to 19
instead of 20 because it seemed to make a significant difference. But
you're using a later patchlevel, so...

One thing you may have noticed is that the magnification feature when
you go to 600dpi now magnifies things twice as large as it used to.
To fix this requires a number of changes to the font caching support
code (at least in the patchlevel we have). Though it's debatable how
much this matters.
