Since most the sipbsrc build volumes we nb volumes on rosebud, they're
mostly all gone. Since the volumes needed to be recreated, I took the
opportunity to reorganize and clean things up. The volumes are now of
the form `sipbsrc.machtype.nb', whch avoids the name length problem.
There was some disucssion over wether to use machtype or @sys names,
and I eventually choose these because they change less often than the
@sys values. (side note: I encourage everyone to submit a bug report
for `machtype' under solaris returning the exactly same thing it
returns under SunOS (-: Seriously, this should be fixed. ) The
volumes are sort-of spread out, and each now has a 60M quota:
; fs lq vax rt decmips rsaix sun4 linux next
Volume Name Quota Used % Used Partition
sipbsrc.vax.nb 60000 2 0% 37%
sipbsrc.rt.nb 60000 2 0% 48%
sipbsrc.decmips.nb 60000 2 0% 37%
sipbsrc.rsaix.nb 60000 46355 77% 77%
sipbsrc.sun4.nb 60000 31824 53% 37%
sipbsrc.linux.nb 60000 4149 7% 77%
sipbsrc.next.nb 60000 2 0% 48%
also, a symlink from each apropriate @sys value to the coresponding
mountpoint was made (for values of `appropriate' that are `what I
mean'. There is no next link, since there are no `next_mach20'
binaries anymore, and we don't yet know what the new @sys value will
be. Also, there is a single sun link, from sun4c_51. I think it
should stay this may until DCNS decides what they're going to do about
the SunOS/Solaris namespace collision issue, since it's populated with
solaris binaries. (this is the way it was before))
Other things:
o RONLY, the mountpoint for the nonexistant
project.sipbsrc/readonly, was removed, since no one around knew
why it was there in the first place.
o the `chaos' directory was removed, and a tarred and gzipped
archive of it was left as chaos.tgz in the top level. This
contains VAX binaries presumably from ChaosNet, and, while they
shouldn't go away, they should be somewhere else. Anyone?
o there are a bunch of dotfiles in the toplevel. Why?
o ChangeLog/README/RCS/CVS we don't currently have any of these.
Some of them might be nice. What do people think?
o things removed: next_mach20
decmips_30 mips
rios rs_aix31
rt_r3 rtpc
vax_43
RONLY
