First of all, it is easier for us to solve your problems if you give
us enough information about the environment the problem occured in.
This especially includes mentioning things like non-standard .dvipsrc
and config.ps files and settings of TEXCONFIG. =)
The reason for the error is that your configuration files contain the
line "@ letterSize 8.5in 11in", and the version of dvips we currently
suppport (5.47) does not understand the "@" papersize directives. We
are considering moving to version 5.495, which does.
In short: for the time being, you lose; I would suggest commenting out
all lines starting with "@" in your configuration files.
