Oh, come on. Code that works on SVR4 (you know, the UNIX put
out by the people that OWN THE NAME, not a mere "variant") should work
fine on Solaris -- and that's the trouble, most people assume BSD
instead of POSIX or SVID.
Not that I'm defending Sun -- I think it was stupid of them to
switch from a BSD base, and the latest SunFlash indicates that they've
finally figured it out too:
