If you currently set environment variable PKFONTS or define a font
path in your .dvipsrc file, you will have problems unless it includes
/afs/sipb/project/outland/lib/tex/fonts/pk.
I was about to complain about the fact that the 600dpi fonts aren't being
used, but this message is not complete: one has to modify their TEXPKS
variable, too. I'm not even sure PKFONTS is ever used; I think you meant
TEXPKS instead.
