This was happening because the RS/6000 uses a POSIX.2 style time(1)
format, rather than a BSD one.  I have fixed it to understand both.  The
fixed version will be available when the volume is released.

   The `type' program doesn't work on the RS6k.  It generates the following
   output when you indicate that you are finished typing.
