Hi, I think there is a problem with the XScreensaver and AIX. On
the RS/6000 I use (a private workstation in the Sloan School), I
sometimes invoke the xscreensaver with password option, so no one
can view what's on my screen. However, once I receive a zephyr, the
screen saver shuts off. Perhaps this is a bug.
The xscreensaver program locks the fine just fine for me on an
RS/6000. Therefore, I need more details from you in order to be able
to figure out how to solve the problem you are experiencing.
Exactly how do you invoke the xscreensaver program?
Exactly how do you tell it to lock your screen (do you specify the -L
option to tell it to lock the screen immediately upon start-up, or
select the "lock screen" menu option, or use the -l command-line
option and then click on the icon to get it to lock, or something
else)?
