Problems using Pnews

I attempted to post an article to comp.unix.wizards using Pnews and was
greeted with the following message when I tried to send it.
Send, abort, edit, or list? send
/mit/sipb/sun4bin/Pnews: /mit/sipb/bin/inews: Connection timed out
Article appended to /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/v/i/vince/dead.article
Is there something I should be doing, or is this a problem?
