I stand corrected--sorry if I hit a nerve. However, if he copied the
style of ambar's templete, Gildea must have disguised it a lot, because it
wound up much less pretty. When I tried converting my resume, I found
that I had to throw most of his stuff away and write a new command to
mimic ambar's layout:

\def\employerinfo#1#2#3{\par{\bf #1}\\{\em #2} \hfill #3\\}

which is used as:
\employerinfo{AT\&T Bell Laboratories}{Laboratory Trainee}{June 1985---August 1985}
or, my personal favorite:

\def\employerinfo#1#2#3#4{\par{\bf #1} #2\\{\em #3} \hfill #4\\}

\employerinfo{AT\&T Bell Laboratories}{Indian Hill}{Laboratory Trainee}{June 1985---August 1985}

Even with that, I prefer the original. But that .sty file would be a
worthwhile addition to the library, because the source can scan.
