The /usr/lib/makewhatis script on charon is quite out-of-date and
gives several spurious error messages that the standard makewhatis
does not. It should be updated, either simply by replacing the
current one with the standard one or by carefully putting the
differences between ours and the standard into our sources (since
presumably there is a reason why we have a different version -- the
file itself claims it has something to do with making it look in
/usr/sipb, but I doubt that's relevant any longer).
