I reported this one a while ago; any newsrc over 1500 lines will cause
rn to complain. However, last time I tried to build rn, it required
sources that weren't in sipbsrc, and was considered part of the news
release which was "elsewhere"; I don't know if this has changed
recently...
This is a bit of an exaggeration. The only dependency in
/mit/sipbsrc/src/rrn on anything other than /mit/sipbsrc/src/rrn is
that a directory /mit/sipbsrc/@sys/nntp needs to exist, with a
"common" subdirectory, with symlinks in that subdirectory to the files
clientlib.{c,h}, nntp.h in
/afs/sipb.mit.edu/project/news/new/src/nntp/common. This is not that
difficult to figure out from looking at the config.sh files for the
other platforms.
In any case, I have compiled and installed the newest rn for the Sun.
