There is a nice TeX macro package called "Midnight Macros" (by Marcel van
der Groot and available from ymir.claremont.edu:/tex/inputs/midnight, among
other places) which I'd like to suggest be placed in
/mit/sipb/lib/tex/macros. It isn't all that large, but it seems silly for
me to put this in my own directory when others can certainly find good use
for it as well, and I'd like to write documents using it that others can
process without having to put a directory of mine on their TEXINPUTS path.

The macros and documentation seem quite polished; the contents are:

  Midnight Macros --- Tue May 7 09:08:21 PDT 1991

  quire [1--4]
Macros for making booklets, printing double pages, and printing outlines
  and crop marks.

  gloss [5--7]
Macros for vertically aligning words in consecutive sentences.

  loop [8]
  A simple looping construct (meta-macros).

  dolines [9--11]
Meta-macros to separate arguments by newlines and by empty lines.

  labels [12--13]
Macros to print address labels and bulk letters.

Could it be installed in Athena's TEXINPUTS path?

                                         Thanks,
