What were you trying to do?
Read news. Specifically, use 'n' to skip a newsgroup and advance to
the next one.
What's wrong:
At some point after reading a newgroup to the end, "n" ceases to work. I.e.,
******* 1771 unread articles in alt.folklore.urban--read now? [ynq]
******** 690 unread articles in alt.folklore.computers--read now? [ynq]
******** 72 unread articles in alt.fan.monty-python--read now? [ynq]
******** 72 unread articles in alt.fan.monty-python--read now? [ynq]
******** 72 unread articles in alt.fan.monty-python--read now? [ynq]
(etc.)
Each 'n' generates another alt.fan.monty-python line. 'p' works just fine,
and if I go to any other newsgroup with 'g' I get there, but can only go
backwards with 'p' thereafter. 'n' won't move me frontwards.
The newsgroup that repeats is nondeterministic, but the repeats never happen
until I've read at least one newsgroup to the end. I first noticed this
on Feb 3rd.
What should have happened:
'n' should skip to the next newsgroup.
