How about "rm /mit/jik/.xrnlock"? That's not athena-specific, and it
is what you want.
Xrn is not a UNIX-only program. It runs under VMS too.
Furthermore, if a user doesn't know what to do when he sees a message
telling him to remove a file, it would be a Good Thing for him to ask
and learn. I think it's irresponsible to tell someone to type "rm
filename" without explaining what the "rm" command does.
Moral: It's a judgment call, and I like the message the way it is, and
I maintain the program for the SIPB. Q.E.D. :-)
