When I started XRN a whole bunch of groups were taken out of my XRN
info file (I forget the correct name of it. What Happened?
The behavior you observed is in fact the correct behavior. As the
informational messages you received indicate, the newsgroups that were
removed are "bogus" newsgroups, i.e. newsgroups that were created for
some reason by people on the net, but that we do not consider valid
and therefore do not allow articles in.
A new version of xrn which deals correctly with bogus newsgroups was
just installed. Whereas the old version of xrn would leave them in
the .newsrc file, the new version notices that they are bogus and
removes them; the latter is the correct behavior.
You should not notice any problem the next time you run xrn, since the
newsgroups were removed from your .newsrc and will not be added back
into it.
