I've set up a NeXT build tree (and object volume in /usr/sipb) and
built what I could. Almost everything built, though I did fix a few
bugs in some of the code there. Here's what failed, and why:
inews -- directory missing
Inews has been built from /afs/sipb/project/news recently. You'll
have to ask the news people to build and install it there.
rrn -- lossage with installing clientlib.o in $NNTPDIR
You need to build a skeleton tree in /mit/sipbsrc/NeXT/nntp containing
only the common directory, with the files clientlib.c, clientlib.h and
nntp.h in it.
See /mit/sipbsrc/rt/nntp for an example of what I mean.
xrn -- needs setenv
No, it doesn't, it can use putenv, you just have to tweak the #ifdef's
in xrn.c.
xscreensaver -- needs setenv (probably just need to tweak the makefile)
Actually, you need to either enable COMPILE_SETENV in xsaver.h, or
tweak the #ifdef's in main.c.
