> Howdy,
We have a couple fairly powerful sun servers serving as
login session servers for around 1000 users (who use
an X emulator from a NT PC to get CDE from the
session servers). Each machine would be running
a zhm. However, each user would need to run a zwgc.
This would result in maximally 500 zwgc processes
each session server. Therefore I would need to seriously
weigh the extra load they would put on to these central
servers. Do you have any suggestions? In a test
on my own desktop, whenever I zwrite a message to
myself, my zwgc uses around 2.7Mb. Then it gets
smaller (disappeared from top table). So maximually
I would need around 1.5GB of RAM to accommodate
these zwgc's. Does this make sense? Can the code
be modified to take advantage of the fact that most
users are on the same machine(s) so it wouldn't be
necessary for each and every user to run a zwgc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
