Hi,
I just wanted to at least tell you the problems I've had with
zephyr.
assume that you have istalled zephyr w/o hesoid/kerberos. So I'm
running zephyrd, zhm, and zwgc all on one host. If zephyrd is not
initialized properly, then the zwgc command hangs forever. once you
type it, then it steals the shell away from you and just sits there
waiting. It doesn't accept C-c, C-\, C-z, nothing.
secondly, I think that zehyrd should just assume the ipaddr of the
host it's being run on if the server.list file is not there. This
seems simple enough, and I don't see any sort of problem that would
arise out of this. This would be nice since a non-root user may wish
to run zephyrd, but if s/he's working via PPP, then the ipaddr changes
every time, yet the user is not allowed to go into
/usr/local/etc/zephyr/server.list unless root gives that user/group
access.
otherwise, it's an excellent program. it's installation is relatively
straight-forward.
thanks,
dave
