The question here is, why does zwrite check all the recipients before
you type the message, if it isn't going to remove from the recipient
list all of the recipients who can't be pinged?

Is there any reason why recipients that can't be pinged shouldn't be
removed from the list before attempting to send the message?

System name: toxicwaste.media.mit.edu
Type and version:	RTPC-ROMPC 7.1H (1 update(s) to same version)
Display type: megapel

What were you trying to do?
send a message to "multiple" people (it was actually a typo,
but I found this bug from the resulting messages.)

What's wrong:
This is what happened: (z is an alias for zwrite)

(toxicwaste-warlord) in ~
Ready: z colonel =-m youre at work\?
=-m: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages
youre: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages
at: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages
work?: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages
Type your message now. End with control-D or a dot on a line by itself.
youre at work^??
.
colonel: Message sent
=-m: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages
youre: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages
at: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages
work?: Not logged in or not subscribing to messages

Ready:

What should have happened:
This shouldn't have given me the "foo: Not logged in..." messages
twice. It should have seen the first time through that the recipients
werent online, and then delete them from the list of recipients. Either that
or it shouldn't print out the Not Logged in messages until AFTER it tries to
send the message....

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
zwrite(1)
