Dear Literacy Professionals,

Bruce Larkin, author of more than 200 children's books, including the pop=
ular Larkin's Little Readers Series, would like to promote literacy and b=
ook ownership throughout the school year.
Bruce Larkin has generously agreed to donate sets of twenty-five free boo=
ks to every Kindergarten and First Grade classroom in the United States. =
Children in that classroom can then be given a book that he or she can ca=
ll their own. Book ownership and books in the home are good indicators of=
future success in school. Bruce Larkin believes all children and their s=
iblings should enjoy the advantage of having books in their homes.
"BOOKS FROM BRUCE"

Each set consists of at least three different titles to allow for a range=
of reading levels. The titles available to the children in your classroo=
m will change four times per year so each time you reorder students can r=
eceive different titles. You are encouraged to order multiple sets.=20
Book distribution will be handled through WWW.LITERACYEMPOWERMENT.ORG
(LEF) is a Non Profit Group thats distributes free or low cost books to c=
hildren Grades K through 4.=20
