Dan,
I asked Rocklyn Clarke to work on updating the file map3270 to be more complete
for our accessing MITVMA through Athena. He has been working with Henry Mensch
and now has a file that we feel can provide the function we need to allow users
to use Athena workstations instead of the 3270 terminals in 11-112. We would
like for your people to check it over and if it seems OK, to install it in the
standard Athena system.
In order to free up 11-112 we will need this file installed and a "facility"
to type "mitvma" at the login prompt and to have tn3270 window created that
is connected to MITVMA. I don't know if this is in your queue or Jeffs.
We are working on the documentation for our users. Please let me know if I
can be of any help.

I have finally finished modifying map3270 to make better use of the Athena
workstation keyboard. To get at the new version attach reclarke. The file
resides in /mit/reclarke/tn3270/map3270.athena . I have given read access
to the public. Send me mail if you have any questions (I will get the mail
faster if it is addressed to RCLARKE@MITVMA) or call me at X3-7257.
