PTF U422467 should be installed, because the new AIX distributions come
in a slightly different packaging, and this updates the utilities needed
to be able to read those new distributed PTFs.
All that needs to be done is:
cd /
restore -xqf U422467
rm lpp_name
rm usr/lpp/bos/inst_U422467/liblpp.a
rm usr/lpp/bos/inst_ptf/bos.obj.inst_menus.odmupdt.a
rm usr/lpp/bos/inst_ptf/bos.obj/instupdt.odmupdt.a
rm usr/lpp/bos/inst_ptf/bos.obj.swvpd.odmupdt.a
U422467 can be found in /mit/rios/lpp/3.2, as bos.U422467
Other than that, I still have to come up with a mechanism to support the
100 new Gt1x adapters that will be coming with an IBM grant to Sloan
this summer (and they want to run Athena). We have to support this
adapter at some point, since the Gt1 is no longer being made, and the
Gt1x is now being distributed with all new 220s... more forthcoming,
when a solution is developed to this problem.
