Patches look reasonable... (I am sure that code will have to be
revisited again when more POSIX architectures are introduced as not all
architectures want their terminals setup identically; however, we can
probably come close to satisfying most; POSIX does say there are some
implementation specific details - I don't remember off-hand if ECHOCTL
was one, but if that is required for Ultrix, we don't have much
choice...)
