I have modified almost all of the man pages for Galatea for the next
Athena release. Unfortunately, I am not able to do the final edits
because of a network hangup from this coast. The changes that need to
be made pertain to a couple changes in 'gctl'. I believe these
changes are not substantive, but should be made before a final
release.
In addition, I can not "clean" and configure the galateadev locker at
this time. This will be my first priority on Monday morning. I do
not know exactly what software you require for the Athena release, but
am guessing that the server, clients, libraries, and man pages are
what are needed. They reside, respectively, in:
/mit/galateadev/server
/mit/galateadev/clients
/mit/galateadev/Glib
/mit/galateadev/GlibExt /* This lib is probably not important now,
but is a place holder. */
/mit/galateadev/man
The API doc has not been updated yet, but I don't imagine that it is
part of the release.
Please note that the actual code for this software has been available
and been used by several non-Athena groups for a while, and I haven't
heard any complaints yet. I would appreciate hearing of any problems.
(Michael, I believe you ran the wrong version of gctl: the code
definitely creates a "Reset" button, not a "Load" button.)
Any configuration files used in previously Athena releases should be
still applicable. I recall no changes made to the configuration file
reading code.
Dan.
