Ah, yes, John, nothing like doing your best to make other people's
jobs more difficult.
I'm sorry if you don't understand the need for audit trails and
accountability in the source tree. I seem to recall discussing this
very issue with you several months ago, and at that point, you seemed
very eager to insure that there were adequate precautions against
arbitrary modifications of the source tree.
Now that you're confronted with those precautions, you act like a pain
in the neck.
