The trouble that occurred was one dealing with misalignment. I have a fix
for "strings.c" that corrects:
sorry pid ... killed: exec: I/O error mapping pages
I would suspect that the other programs that also cause this occassionally do
not take into account that variables must sometimes be aligned on either
2 or 4 byte boundaries.
The fixed program can be found in /odie/site/src/work/Mail/strings.c
Should I install the fix? I don't believe I ever got a reply to my first
message about this subject.
