Oops. Well, it was worth a thought.
It turns out that almost everything the rvd server logs is logged as
local7.info. This includes a notice of every client spinup and spindown.
This is why the rvdlogs are overflowing the /site partitions.
My revised request (after discussing this with Richard) is that you
change (in /etc/syslog.conf) the line:
local7.info /site/rvd/rvdlog
to:
local7.notice /site/rvd/rvdlog
