A VAXstatION 2000 logged the following error:
Jun 11 02:10:09 [M66-080-14.MIT.EDU] vmunix: sd2:HARD ERROR: Drive select failed
What is "sd2"? /dev/rd2 is the floppy drive, but there is no device
name in /dev containing "sd", and during reboot, none of the messages
includes "sd".
Unless someone tells me otherwise, I'll assume sd2 refers to the
floppy drive, and that these hard errors are nothing to worry about.
If that's the case, I'd guess the device driver should be modified to
give a more descriptive error message.
