The Athena AFS cell will be down on Thur Jun 11 starting at 9:00pm. The
purpose of the outage is to sync AFS and moira. We've scheduled 15 mins for
the outage, but it will probably take more like 5 mins.
During the outage users may receive messages similar to "Lost contact
with file server...." and depending upon their clients will probably lose
contact with everything under /afs.
Sorry to be so vague, but all this depends on the amount of time needed to
do the synchronization. Past outages of this scope have been very brief,
hopefully this one will be brief also.
