Dear Everyone:
I have been informed that Turner Construction will have an HVAC
subcontractor working on fume exhaust hoods on Friday, May 14, 2004 in Bldg.
48 from 6:30 AM to 3 PM. They will be adjusting fan speeds for balancing
and adjusting proper fume hood exhaust. The fans will never be shutdown but
speeds will be increasing or decreasing as needed. In the morning hours the
unoccupied lab spaces will be accessed and afternoon occupied labs will be
accessed for measurements. This has been approved by Professor Gschwend.
The labs and hoods involved are as follows:
48 - 324 - Hood 1 (PM# 713037)
48 - 212 - Hoods 1 and 2 (PM# 713021 and 713030)
48 - 418 - Hoods - PM# 713051 - Exhaust Fan 6 and Exhaust Fan 1
48 - 424 - Hood - PM# 713044 - Exhaust Fan 5
48 - 428 - Hoods # 713038 and 713042 #1- Exhaust Fan 8 and #2 Exhaust Fan 7
48 - 434 - Hoods #713039 Fume Hood #2 & # 713040 Exhaust Fan 10
and 713040 and Fume Hood# 2 Exhaust Fan 9
48 - 438 - Hood #717078 - Located on Roof.
