Hi,
Lou Isgur from Hardware Services asked me to take a look at your question.
Nothing has changed on the print servers, and as far as I can tell the
duplex queues are functioning correctly. The problem is likely that
you have managed to find print jobs generated with postscript drivers
that attempt to override the duplex/simplex setting themselves.
Our print servers attempt to configure the duplex selection with PJL
commands; due to the buggy nature of printer hardware, this doesn't
completely override the postscript settings, and you get unreliable
results when the two contradict each other.
If you are generating the postscript on windows, the problem lies in
selecting and configuring the windows drivers (contact the helpdesk at
x31102); if you're already on Athena, you may have luck using a tool
such as ps2ps in the ghostscript locker to "fix" broken postscript
(OLC can help you with this; run 'olc' from Athena).
I hope this helps.
