While transferring from oil to gas, the gas turbine and heat recovery steam
generator at the Central Utility Power Plant tripped off. Other boilers are
being brought on line. Steam pressure is low, but will be restored within
an hour once the standby boilers are fully operational. There was no
disturbance to electric service.
Further information concerning this situation may be obtained by calling the
Department of Facilities' emergency information number, ext. 3-1300.
If you need assistance, please call Repair and Maintenance at x3-4948
(FIXIT) and select the option to speak with someone directly.
