Dear Colleagues,
Please be aware that utilities construction related to the former NECCO
factory on Mass Ave, now the future home of Novartis, will cause extreme
noise on Tuesday, February 3.
At approximately 9:00 AM, noon, and 3:00 PM for about 15 minutes, there will
be exceptionally loud noise that could cause disruption to the surrounding
area.
The utilities work involves preparing a steam pipe for operation. This "blow
down" will require a cleaning and examination of the steam pipe. The three
sessions are necessary to ensure that the pipe is ready for operation.
Please contact the project manager Patrick O'Toole at pjotoole@mit.edu if
you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your passing this along to
your colleagues.
