I have replaced the maintenance kit and the printer is performing optimally.
However, due to an oversight on my part, I neglected to remind the client
that Maintenance kits are not covered under MIT Care.

Parts/Shipping/Labor come to $533.60.

Hi-

We have an HP 8100 laser printer named "Cure" that is covered
under a service contract. It is making excessive noise during the
initialization and also the printing phases. Most of the noise seems to be
coming from the paper tray area. The printer is located in e52-373. If
someone could come out tomorrow to look at it, that would be appreciated.

We are located in e52-242.

Thanks,

Kevin Sullivan

The printer is displaying a "perform printer maintenance" message. I will
install a maintenance kit upon its arrival (most likely Wednesday a.m.). I
believe that the noise is either the fuser, or more likely the toner. The
latter was the cause of the same noise on the same printer a few months
back, and I believe a bad batch may have been ordered. We'll see.
