Hi Brian,
Thanks for your prompt response. We're happy to hear that you can add that
machine to the dorm cluster.
Neither Juan Vargas, nor Jim Ray got in touch with me yet, but I thought I
should let you know where the machine is anyway.
The machine is in Sidney-Pacific (NW86-158), and it is the Dell workstation
next to the window on the right side of the middle row. The machine is
labeled ``SP-RES3 (95.1.23)'' if you open the cover of the USB ports in
front. To help you find the machine quickly, all other machines in its row
are Sun Athena-s. Also there is currently no OS on it, so feel free to
format it right away.
Also, the machine is assigned the address 18.95.1.23 and hostname
sp-res3.mit.edu. If you would like to use that address for the Athena
workstation is ok with us, or if you would to give it your own address, that
is also ok with us.
I am looking forward to having this new Linux Athena in our cluster.
Sincerely,
Dan.
