guys:
i just closed out casetracker issue # 319353, because it seemed that a reboot
had "unfrozen" this system. while i was here in the lab making amendments to
other issues, a student tried to use the system and it froze on him, too. (he
tells me that it has been happening a lot lately.)
i've powered it down for now until we can take a closer look at it.
