pietro was jammed, but there was no paper to clear.
i noticed that when it was warming up/checking paper path, there didn't seem
to be any spooling/lifting. also, the jam warning would come up at the very
beginning of the print job - before ANYTHING had happened. i rotated the
rollers in both trays - though they all feel like they still have treads on
them - and now the printer is working fine.
so, for now, the "jam" is cleared.
but perhaps new rollers are in order.
