Well, that's certainly not something the release does; it's something
that was configured by someone who works in the building and wanted to
use the spare CPU cycles on that machine (SETI at Home is a lot like the
various crypto key crackers that were popular to leave running on public
machines and the dialups a few years back).
It certainly *shouldn't* be running on that machine, and the machine
should get reinstalled. I doubt we can track down who did it, though;
I've seen a machine in n42 like this once before, and the person who did
it had logged in as root to set it up.
