Beginning next week, the chilled water excavation and installation near the
Stata project will be extended. This construction project is scheduled to
continue through the end of June.
Some of you may be familiar with the current excavation near the Beacon
Skanska trailer on the south side of the east parking lot. This "hole" will
be expanded toward Buildings 66 and 68 in order to connect chilled water
lines to Building 68.
The major impacts will be:
· Pedestrian traffic will be maintained, but will be
redirected around the construction.
· Truck deliveries will not have access from the East Lot to
the 30 minute loading area at Building 56. They will be redirected down Ames
Street to the south side of Buildings 66 and 56.
· Access to the Building 68 Loading Area will be maintained,
but trucks must enter from Ames Street. This access is for the food trucks
and the 68 loading area only. Deliveries which normally use the Building 56
loading area should enter the campus via south of Building 66.
· The dumpster inside Building 66 has been relocated next to
the fence in the East Parking Lot.
Please pass this information along to anyone whom you think may be affected
by the change in truck delivery access. A map outlining these changes may be
