	Lou--

Here is the response to the question about having this shutdown done
during Spring Break.

Dear Andrea, we got the pump as soon as we could, it's got to go in
now. As MIT we can't be holding up the completion of this project. We've got
a deadline to meet. This new process chilled water pump by the way will
solve many problems we've been having in other sections of the building with
one of the causes being Athena room chilled water was taken off of these
existing lines and wiped out any further capacity. Once we get the new pump
in, even the computer room will be able to be kept 'cold' on the hottest
summer day. - Billy

	and then --

Dear Larry and Winn, I'm getting some feedback from the Athena
people on our 66 chw shutdown a week from Friday. They are concerned about
the cooling being down for 48 hrs., and I'll admit, rightfully so. The rooms
in question are the computer rooms 66-070,080. What we've done on occasion
in the past is to provide pedestal fans for circulation during such
shutdowns. I will ask if next week sometime we bring over two pedestal fans
from the stockroom basement, (I've spoken to Tammy), and get them ready to
set up for the weekend shutdown. Doing this will usually allay fear of
severe overheating in computer clusters. Billy

Lou - based upon this information -- please let me know whether this does or
does not have your approval.

Thanks again.
