We've been asked this before.  The answer is "no".

Ashdown-color is a hardware type and configuration that we can't support.
We can only support HP printers, and while ashdown-color works, it has
frequent problems in interacting with the print server that we're unable
to debug.

Setting this printer as the default printer for a public workstation
would imply a level of support that we're not comfortable with.
