net connection in 54-311 for MERCURY.MIT.EDU not operating

Dear Athena Hotline representative,
The recently-installed SunBlade 100 workstation MERCURY.MIT.EDU, which
replaced an SGI workstation starting last Friday morning in the EAPS
Dept. cluster 54-311, has not been able to connect to the network to
activate properly via the network jack it's plugged into, #54-311-122-2.
When I temporarily connect MERCURY to the other jack in the same
housing, #54-311-122-1 (which is known to be working because it's used
by workstation URANUS.MIT.EDU) MERCURY activates properly. I surmise
that there's a problem related to the jack 54-311-122-2.
