Hi Andrea,
As you may know, IS is in the process of moving off of the 3rd floor
of e40. Most people will be moving on Tuesday and Wednesday of next
week, and any electrical shutdown before then will be impossible for
us to deal with. Additionally, we are going to have many servers in
the basement of e40 (e40-008 in particular) which we ar going to
continue to have at least through the end of January, and quite
possibly for much longer than that. As with w20-575a, if power to
this room is affected, we will need to make alternate power and
cooling arrangements. Unfortunately, e40-008 is significantly bigger
than w20-575a, so this may be a harder problem. Either way, I don;t
think there's any way we can be ready for this by this weekend.
In short, if this outage affects either the 3rd floor or the basement,
and the description implies to me that it does, we need to
re-schedule.
