charybdis.mit.edu, one of the afs top level volume servers, will go
down for a software upgrade, bringing it to Athena 8.3 and afs 3.5
patches 4, starting shortly before midnight Wednesday night.
The outage should last about an hour; clients will notice "afs: Lost
contact with file server..." messages in their console windows, but
should not experience any actual loss of service, since all volumes on
charybdis are replicated.
