The dev.mit.edu AFS database server wham.mit.edu will be
unavailable beginning at 11pm on Thursday, 2/3/00 in order to be
relocated within the e40-008 machine room. While it's down, clients
accessing data in the dev cell may experience console messages of the
form:
afs: Lost contact with volume location server 18.86.0.28 in cell dev.mit.edu
However, all data stored on wham is replicated, and clients will fall
back to another server.
The outage is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.
